Burke, 34, on Monday posted a picture of herself and younger half-sister Ina on Instagram. The siblings met for the first time last week in Los Angeles, four months after their father, Stephen Burke, died. “With my father’s passing came a lot of darkness but there was also a lot of light – I found my sister who I had never known,” wrote Burke on her post. “We recently met for the first time and it was such a surreal experience to walk into a room to meet and walk out feeling like we had known each other forever. In her I see the same drive and passion that our dad had and there’s clearly a major family resemblance. It may have taken 30 years to find each other, but I am so excited to have another sister for life.”.

Burke told People that her father had told her about Ina years ago, but the siblings didn’t reach out to each other until after their father’s death, “When my dad passed away, Ina couldn’t make it to my father’s wake in Thailand,” said Burke, “But she reached out and wrote a long text message that was really sweet, I responded right away and said, ‘Thank you so much for reaching out, If there’s anything that I could do, I’m here for you.’ From then on, we’ve been texting and talking on the tiny sequin - blush pink ballet flats slippers shoes with matching ribbons phone a lot.”..

Still Burke had some apprehension before her initial meeting with Ina, who lives in Seattle. “With this business, at least for me, comes trust issues,” the dancer said. “Is she reaching out to me for something that she may need? We didn’t know each other. I didn’t know if she was actually my sister. Just because your last name is Burke doesn’t mean that you’re my sister.”. Burke, who was born in San Francisco and raised in Atherton, became estranged for a time from her dad after her parents divorced when Cheryl was just a toddler. Her mother remarried and Burke became close to her stepfather, Bob Wolf. She has two other siblings — older step-sister Mandy, and younger half-sister Nicole.

Cheryl and Stephen reconnected after he was involved in a serious accident, Burke posted an Instagram tribute to her dad following his death, “Dad, if I had one more chance to have you here with me today, I would do things differently,” Burke said, “Every day I would tell you how much I love you, I miss you so much already.”, Related ArticlesTV this week: Patricia Arquette shines in ‘The Act’ on HuluWendy Williams is right about Howard Stern losing his edge, fans and critics sayReview: Pink Floyd legend delivers a must-see concert tiny sequin - blush pink ballet flats slippers shoes with matching ribbons experienceGavin Newsom muses on Kimberly Guilfoyle dating Donald Trump Jr.James Gunn will direct third Guardians movie after allIt has been an eventful few months for Burke, who became engaged to actor Matthew Lawrence on her birthday in early May, Her newly found half-sister will be present at the upcoming nuptials..

DEAR AMY: There is a 31-year-old woman who has been a part of our family since she was a teenager. She and my kids grew up together and they are still good friends. Her parents are good friends of my wife and me. She is Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude from a good college. She has a post-graduate degree from a very prestigious university. She is in a job she’s had for eight years. She currently makes more than $80,000 a year, and is extremely secure. By an absolutely bizarre twist of fate, I just found out she has been acting in hardcore pornographic videos for the last year, distributed by one of (what I understand is) the biggest production companies in that business. There were 10 pages of her videos when I Googled her stage name.

I am in shock, I am so afraid for her future if her employer, or someone else, makes the same discovery, What should I do? She’s an adult and is free to make her choices, but if someone makes the connection, in this internet-fueled world, it will follow her for the rest tiny sequin - blush pink ballet flats slippers shoes with matching ribbons of her life, I’m afraid she’ll lose her job and never be taken seriously as a professional again, I’m afraid for her health and safety, I have not talked to anyone about this, Who, if anybody, should I tell? Should I just shut up and let the chips fall where they may? We all love this girl very much, and I’m heartsick, What is the right thing to do?..

DEAR FRIEND: You should raise your concerns directly to the woman at the heart of this — not with her parents, or other people. Let her know exactly what you have become aware of, voice your opinion and worries and try to do so without judgment. Don’t attach too strongly to her reaction — whatever it might be — and then drop it, unless, of course, you think that she is in physical danger. I assume there are physical and health risks to what she is doing, but you will have to gauge on your own if these risks merit any attempted intervention from you. Her employment, reputation and ethical choices regarding this side career of hers — are all her (not your) business.
